Isla Update

We found out at my 36 week appointment that Isla has turned and is now in a breech position. This complicates my initial "birth plan" but a safe arrival is all that really matters to us. With about two weeks until her due date, we are still waiting to see how everything plays out.

In the meantime, I am focusing on things within my control and am concerning myself less with how she comes into the world and more about with how we'll love her, teach her, provide for her, and help her follow her dreams.

The picture is of me at 36.5 weeks pregnant.

Baby Shower

Some of my amazing Colorado friends hosted a baby shower for Isla and me. I had such an amazing time and was so overwhelmed with the generosity and love of all the attendees. Thank you, friends, for making me feel so loved.

Isla's Room

Isla's room has been ready for quite some time now! After my 20 week ultrasound and discovering we were having a girl, I went to work picking out all the things for her room. I have loved the Pottery Barn Brooke collection bedding and accompanying decor for years and I was so happy it was still available when it was decorating time!

It is hard to take a picture in her room without Caesar getting in the shot. He follows me everywhere and loves to spend time on the rug in her room. Our dogs are not going to know what to do with a baby around!

Isla

With five weeks until our due date, November 16th, we thought a blog would be a great way to update our friends and family on our preparations for Isla's arrival and pictures once she's born.

Rush and I are constantly wondering what she will look like when she's born. For now, this is all we know! We know it doesn't matter much, because to us, she will be the most beautiful baby we've ever seen.
